Change the world for a Dollar a Day.
Our commission from the Lord is clear:
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
There are over 7.7 billion people in our world today. It’s difficult to even comprehend such a number.
Do you know how long it would take you just to count to 7.7 billion? If you counted one number per second continuously for 24 hours a day, it would take you over 244 years!
What do 7.7 billion people look like? If you lined up all the people in the world side by side – that line of people would reach around the earth at the equator over 71 times!
The fields are white already to harvest. But those fields are so vast. How can we even make a measurable dent in the overwhelming number of people who need to hear the Gospel?
We’ll never fulfill the Great Commission by adding converts here and there. We must think in terms of multiplication. We must multiply our efforts by training more laborers for the harvest. By establishing Bible Schools in our mission fields around the world—we move from addition to multiplication.
Imagine the impact of training 500 or 1000 pastors, evangelists, and church planters in Africa, India, Latin America, or the Philippines and sending those thousands of workers into that harvest field!
The Bible school approach is a must if we are serious about doing more than establishing a handful of local churches overseas. And for a dollar a day you can help us establish Bible Schools and train leaders around the world.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
–
Giving to Dollar-a-Day does not take the place of giving monthly to our missionaries. Funds raised through the Dollar-a-Day initiative will go toward fulfilling our vision of establishing Bible Schools around the world. While Dollar-a-Day funds indirectly help our missionaries by helping fund their own Bible School vision for their particular field, Dollar-a-Day funds do not go toward our missionary’s monthly cost-of-living budgets. That is why it is important to continue to give monthly to our missionaries, even while giving to Dollar-a-Day.
Where does my money go?
–
100% of Dollar-a-Day funds go toward fulfilling our vision of establishing Bible Schools around the world. Here is our guide for how those funds are used:
25% - Property Acquisition / Construction of Bible School Facilities
15% - Leasing of Bible School Facilities
25% - Student Sponsorship – tuition, food, housing
20% - Instructor and Staff expenses
15% - Curriculum and Administrative Costs
FUTURE VISION
–
The ALJC World Missions Vision: 5 Bible Schools in 5 regions in 5 years. Our long-term vision is to have a brick-and-mortar, online, or hybrid Bible School in every ALJC mission field in the next 10 years.
Change the world by giving a Dollar A Day.
